How it works
Instagram sent bubbles are not one flat colour: the gradient spans the whole thread, so a bubble near the bottom is blue while one higher up is purple, and each bubble shifts from left to right. We measured this from an official screenshot; comparable tools all draw a single flat blue. Text never leaves your browser.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make an Instagram DM screenshot?
Enter the username and display name, add messages and pick the side. The preview updates instantly and downloads as PNG.
Why does the bubble colour change?
Instagram applies the gradient across the whole thread rather than per bubble, so lower messages look blue and higher ones purple. We draw it the same way.
Can I add the seen line?
Yes, the seen line under the last message can be switched on and off.
Do my messages go anywhere?
No, everything stays in your browser.
